Known to be a notorious ‘Rum Runners” cottage in the roaring 20’s, this cottage has a past! Our beautifully restored 1928 cottage is what we like to call “Prohibition Chic”.
The cottage is conveniently situated lakeside in a quiet community on Lake Ontario in Rochester, New York. Centrally located, the cottage is just 20 minutes from the main Inn in downtown Rochester, 20 minutes from the airport, U of R and RIT campuses, 10 minutes to area restaurants, sandy beaches and parks making this a perfect location for visiting parents, Professors, couples looking for a private getaway and a great alternative for families.
The cottage features a fully equipped kitchen with full size appliances and utensils, perfect for those cost cutting family meals. There are two bedrooms and one bath with tub and shower combination. Full size washer/dryer in the basement for guests use. Beautiful original wood floors throughout the cottage, the living room has a wood burning fireplace, flat screen Cable TV/DVD and complimentary WIFI throughout. On one end of a four season porch there is a long dining table with seating for six overlooking the water. On the other end there is a comfortable seating area perfect for family card games. The comfortable double sofa easily converts to an extra guest room with a pull out for 1-2 additional guests.
Open the windows and enjoy the cool summer breezes off the lake. Sit lakeside in comfortable Adirondack chairs sipping your first cup of coffee or snuggle up in the evenings around the fire pit. There is a boat launch nearby should you wish to bring your boat, and many bicycle paths in the area for riding your bikes.
